Colourful lights decorated the Blue Toon on the 23rd November when the towns Christmas Lights were officially lit up during a day of festive celebration.

The town’s annual Light Up Peterhead event included a visit from Santa with his reindeer, an indoor market and performances from local groups and individuals.

The official switch-on of the Christmas lights took place at 5pm following a parade by Santa and the reindeer from Queen Street at 1.20pm.

Visitors were also be entertained by a funfair and performances from local school choirs, Modo, the Salvation Army and a piper.

Starting off at the Dales Industrial Estate, the lorry parade which EIS Waste Services have taken part in the last 2 years then set off at 5pm, driving into Drummers Corner and then up to the Lido.

EIS Waste Services had 5 vehicles present in the Parade this year With the drivers and their Families all taking part decorating there vehicles in Christmas Lights and Tinsel.

We were delighted to take part again supporting the local community in our service area.

COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS ARRIVES IN PETERHEAD
